Our Auckland team, led by Jamie West, has recently expanded with the addition of new senior consultants able to assist you in areas including strategy execution, solution architecture, business intelligence, and business analysis. We'll work with you to drive, enable, and manage change across people, processes, and platforms.

Jamie West
Head of Consulting
Jamie West leads our team as Head of Consulting. Jamie specialises in helping customers with innovation and strategy, business transformation, roadmap definition, programme design, and enterprise architecture. With his extensive skills and practical experience gained across both the private and public sectors, Jamie can work with you to identify efficiencies and maximise business value from your IT budget and resources.
Jamie has worked in industries including Oil and Gas, Utilities, Financial Services, and Telco, and with customers such as Sovereign Insurance, Telecom, Vodafone, and IRD. He established the NZ Association for Enterprise Architects and prior to Optimation, he held consulting roles with CapGemini in NZ, Australia and the UK and more recently with PWC.
Jarod Clayton
Senior Consultant, Solution Architecture
Jarod Clayton offers our customers in-depth solution architecture expertise, particularly in the Banking and Insurance industries, as well as in the Retail and SME sectors. He is ideally placed to assist you in areas such as solution architecture, enterprise architecture, and strategy development. Jarod brings you the benefit of recent experience in delivering strategic solution architecture on large-scale transformation projects.
Jarod’s experience in the corporate environment is complemented by time working with start-up organisations. This has given him a broad base of knowledge that can be applied in areas such as internal capability development and implementation, and end-to-end change management.
David Bloch
BI Practice Lead
David Bloch leads Optimation’s national Business Intelligence practice, which focuses on the delivery of end-to-end Business Intelligence and analytics solutions. David combines his deep specialist knowledge with practical hands-on experience to optimise your investments in areas such as BI Strategy and Data Warehouse development, Data Governance, Data Visualisation, Web Analytics, and Information Architecture.
David draws on expertise gained across a variety of sectors including advertising, digital marketing and media, health, FMCG and utilities. He brings a valuable client-side perspective to his engagements, having held senior leadership positions including Head of Business Intelligence at Yellow.
Robin Tucker
Senior Consultant, Analysis
Robin Tucker is a senior consultant with extensive Business Analysis expertise. She can help you refine, develop and enhance your business analysis capability, a fundamental component in ensuring your technology initiatives deliver the business outcomes expected.
Robin is a seasoned consultant with strong leadership skills, who has engaged extensively with executive and senior management in advisory roles. Prior to joining Optimation, she was engaged at Tower Insurance to help create and position their digital strategy. Robin has also worked with organisations including Telecom, Vodafone, Peace, and EDS, and brings this wealth of industry experience to her engagement with you.
Simon Hartley
Solution Architect
Simon Hartley brings a wealth of architecture knowledge working in various sectors including Banking, Insurance and Health. He builds successful relationships with the business, technical team and vendors to deliver world class solutions. Simon offers detailed integration and technical experience together with excellent communication skills that enables him to deliver strategic solutions and deliver on your business strategy.
